Fecal Microbiata Transplant: Key to Health?
Temple gastroenterologist Adam Ehrlich, MD, was recently a featured guest on a podcast by The Curbsiders. Dr. Ehrlich explained how fecal microbiota transplants work to treat the clostridium difficile infection, and research currently underway to investigate the use of fecal transplant for a number of other conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease.
